
Created in June 2012, the SPL des Ports de la Manche manages a network of 8 marinas with 3,297 berths:
- the marinas of Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, Barneville-Carteret and Granville,
- the dry docks of Port-Bail-sur-Mer and Barfleur,
- the heritage ports of La Hague (Goury, Port Racine and Omonville-la Rogue),
- the commercial port of Granville,
- the Granville Auction,
- the Granville refrigerated terminal,
- the Granville and Barneville-Carteret ferry terminals.
Located 8 miles south of the tip of Barfleur, in the Bay of the Seine, the marina and fishing port of Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue is protected from the swell by a long jetty, facing Tatihou Island and its Vauban Towers.
In the heart of the city, the port has 760 berths in a floating dock with a lock and accommodates 36 fishing vessels.
The SPL of the Channel ports has the mission of:
· Optimize the use of port areas,
· Strengthen the development of port infrastructure,
· Support ports in a Clean Ports certification process,
· Implement new services for boaters,
· Promote and animate navigation basins,
· Promote seafood products,
· Communicate on the maritime identity of the territory.
