The Cotentin

Nicknamed the Normandy Peninsula, the Cotentin Peninsula is a concentrated form of Normandy with its 220 km of coastline and rolling countryside. With 180,000 inhabitants spread across 129 communes, the Cotentin Peninsula is the 4th largest urban area in Normandy.

When we think of the Cotentin, we spontaneously imagine its wild landscapes, its unspoiled beaches, and this peaceful life punctuated by the tides. However, this authentic and attractive image reveals only part of the territory. Indeed, the Cotentin is the perfect alliance between economic dynamism and quality of life, thus offering a particularly attractive environment for living, working, and doing business. With a significant increase in industrial jobs in recent years, the Cotentin has established itself as one of the most dynamic French territories, even surpassing major metropolises such as Toulouse or Nantes. Here, the calm of the countryside and the beauty of the coastline rub shoulders with an innovative industrial fabric, offering exceptional professional opportunities.

With its ports, its world-renowned shipyards, its numerous companies specializing in maritime and nautical trades and its training centers such as Intechmer, a marine science and technology institute recognized throughout Europe, the Cotentin is today an essential maritime center.
