STEP DESCRIPTION

Heading for the Manche (department) for this third and final stage of La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec which links Vigo to Saint-Vaast-La-Hougue in the Normandy region where the grand finish of this 56th edition will take place.

"The third leg will be a hell of a journey, with a direct route to Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, a route that is fraught with pitfalls. In a single leg, the sailors will have to pass Cape Finisterre, the northernmost point of the Iberian Peninsula, before crossing the Bay of Biscay, the Iroise Sea, the coasts of northern Brittany and the Channel Islands, and finally the complete circuit of the tip of the Cotentin Peninsula, known for its strong currents."

Yann Chateau - Race Director

"The third part is a long leg, during which the sailors will face the long swell of the Bay of Biscay and the traps of the current in the English Channel. The Alderney Race will perhaps be the deciding factor in determining the best sailor in this edition of La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec!"

Sébastien Petithuguenin - Managing Director of Paprec Group

Sein Causeway

Located off the coast of Brittany, it is known for its turbulent currents resulting from the meeting of the Atlantic and the Celtic Sea, creating an area feared by sailors. Despite its wild beauty, the Chaussée de Sein remains a reminder to every sailor of the power of nature.
