LEG DESCRIPTION
Heading towards Normandy for this third and final stage of La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec 2026, the skippers are expected to round Brittany and pass over the tip of the Cotentin before arriving in a town in the Normandy region, which will be announced very soon.
“In conclusion, Leg 3 will be more technical with several course marks, offering varied segments and the opportunity for several options on each leg of the course,” announces Yann Château. “First, the skippers will reach the “BXA” mark at the mouth of the Gironde estuary, before heading towards the Iroise Sea where they will have to round the western shore of Sein. The rest of the course will take them to the Eddystone lighthouse in Cornwall, England, where they will prepare for a final, very open leg towards Normandy, either by following the English coast or by joining the French coast at the tip of the Cotentin Peninsula.”

CROSSING POINTS
The Eddystone Lighthouse
Eddystone Lighthouse stands on the formidable Eddystone Rocks in the English Channel , 9 miles (14 km) southwest of Rame Head in southern England . Although Rame Head is in Cornwall , the rocks are in Devon .
The current lighthouse is the fourth to be built on the site. The first and second were destroyed.

Sein Causeway
Located off the coast of Brittany, it is known for its turbulent currents resulting from the meeting of the Atlantic and the Celtic Sea, creating an area feared by sailors. Despite its wild beauty, the Chaussée de Sein remains a reminder to every sailor of the power of nature.
