Created in 1946, the French Sailing Federation is an association under the 1901 law recognized as being of public utility. A national authority, it is a member of the International Sailing Federation: World Sailing. It is also delegated the powers granted by the Ministry of Health and Sports – State Secretariat for Sports. Consequently, the mission of the FFVoile is to develop and organize the practice of Sailing in France. It is represented throughout France through its regional leagues and its departmental committees which constitute its decentralized bodies.
