While sailing in 32nd position, Marie Gendron, skipper of Kereis SNCF Voyageurs, unfortunately tore her J2 (headsail). The rookie initially tried to repair the damage in the shelter of Groix Island but was unable to fix her sail. After careful consideration, realizing that a repair was impossible and given the upcoming weather conditions, she made the difficult decision to abandon this leg.
Marie informed the race committee and is now heading towards Lorient, where Davy Beaudart and Quentin Mocudet are already moored. The number of retirements on this leg has now risen to four.
