This 2025 edition offered us an exceptional podium, and for two reasons. By winning his first victory on La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec, Alexis Loison (Groupe REEL) ended a 20-year quest on this Figaro circuit, and Charlotte Yven, Skipper Macif 2023, became the first woman to reach the overall podium. She has just written one of the most beautiful pages of the solo race. Arno Biston (Article.1) completes this incredible podium. For his part, with a very fine victory in Vigo during the second leg, Hugo Cardon (Sarth'Atlantique) was crowned best rookie of this 56th edition of La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec. Finally, Oliver Hill (Connected By Water) becomes the best non-French skipper.
The Solitaire du Figaro Paprec has just delivered its verdict. An edition that will remain etched in my memory forever with the victory of Alexis Loison (Groupe REEL), who claimed his first victory after 19 participations. "This Solitaire was difficult, I'm very happy to win it. This one, I don't know why, was harder than the others! I always had a little voice, every year, telling me to keep going, keep going, you'll make it. Finally, I'm doing it, and what's more, in style, by finishing 1st, 2nd, and 1st, it's fabulous."

The fabulous destiny of Charlotte Yven
With two third places and one fifth place, Charlotte Yven, who was in her final season for Macif, achieved a real feat by finishing second overall. Never in the history of the race had a woman managed to climb so high. A first-class performance that Charlotte built mile after mile, always playing at the front. "This last leg was long, you had to go fast all the time, be on top, there was no big option. The fatigue was clearly there. We were really tossed around on the northern coast of Spain and the Alderney Race was a constant commitment. It was great to manage to sail at the front on all three legs, I'm happy to have kept up the pace. I felt good on my boat, which was super well prepared. You can never say which Solitaire is the most difficult, each time it's so intense! " It must be said that Charlotte's progress is not the result of chance and arouses the admiration of her peers and her opponents on the water.
"I'm really happy for Charlotte. She showed that she was a force to be reckoned with and this victory without Charlotte as an opponent wouldn't have had the same flavour ," commented Alexis Loison, the overall winner of this 56th edition of the race.
Charlotte's teammate in the Transat Paprec 2025 and competitor on the water, Hugo Dhallenne, Skipper Macif 2025, also congratulated the sailor. "Chacha had an incredible Solitaire. I'm so happy for her. She deserves it. I realize how lucky I was to win the Transat Paprec alongside her."
Charlotte has been a real driving force for many of the skippers competing in this race. While Charlotte Yven was half-heartedly aiming for victory, her pride is immense.
"I think it's crazy to make it to the podium in a Solitaire du Figaro Paprec, whether you're a woman or not! I'm so proud," she concludes.
Arno Biston, who was competing in his second Solitaire du Figaro Paprec, had a very good race, finishing fifth in Roscoff - Baie de Morlaix and finishing fourth twice. This consistency logically propelled him to third place on this fabulous podium.

Hugo Cardon, a rookie with a capital R
Not only did this young Sarthe sailor (23 years old) win the Best Rookie Trophy in this 2025 edition, but Hugo also secured a stage victory. An incredible performance for a first participation. He managed to counter the various attacks from his direct competitors in the calm weather in Spain and not give in to the constant pressure from the more experienced sailors. "This Solitaire is magnificent and difficult. It's unexpected to be here and to have achieved this result. I had come a bit for the victory, even if I had trouble admitting it, but I loved it. We fought well with Arthur Meurisse (Kiloutou). It was extremely interesting and that's what makes this ranking so important ," confided Hugo upon his arrival in Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue.

Oliver Hill Best of the Best
By finishing in 19th place in this Solitaire du Figaro Paprec 2025, British skipper Oliver Hill on his Figaro Connected by Water, won the Vivi Trophy, which rewards the best non-French sailor in the overall ranking. "I'm still having trouble realizing what I've just done. I'll have to recover to come back down to earth a little. This race was very intense but it really allows you to learn a lot. I'm proud to have been able to finish and to have been able to lead the race. See you next year ," confided Oliver Hill.
