A little refresher between friends

The road to the Chaussée de Sein won't be so straight after all. During the afternoon, a few Figaro sailors launched the first round of tacks for a strategic realignment. The first to launch the maneuver were Victor Mathieu (Elitys) and Léo Bothorel (Centre Excellence Voile - Secours Populaire 17). Around 5 p.m., the leading group followed suit. The climb is now a staircase, and it will be very interesting to monitor the gap between the two title chasers, Alexis Loison (Groupe REEL) and Charlotte Yven (Skipper Macif 2023), to see who benefits from this comeback. Further upwind of the fleet, Alexis Loison, however, has a better angle for the rest of the race.

Sandwiched between them and still on a straight course, Jules Ducelier on Région Normandie is making a very good start to the race and could well play the role of referee. Third in the provisional general classification of this solo race, Arno Biston on Article.1 is currently adopting the same strategic plan and is heading due north just behind Charlotte Yven.

For his part, Arthur Meurisse (Kiloutou), the most westerly sailor in the leading group, continues on a very straight course and picks up the miles. Ellie Driver (Women's Engineering Society), even further west, is following the same route. In another option, Edouard Golbery (Seastemik) and Maël Garnier (Selencia – Cerfrance), are heading east.
