Jack Bouttell, 2013's La Solitaire du Figaro ‘Rookie' Champion, will once again compete in the prestigious race known as the unofficial world championship of solo offshore sailing. After a colourful parade along the Gironde riversides crowed by thousands of cheerful supporters and a three hours sail sorrounded by a spectacular country scenery, the fleet has arrived in Pauillac. Time for a quick dinner and the 41 skippers will go to rest and re-charge their batteries to the max level, getting ready for tomorrow's big day. The starting signal will be given at 13:00 local time when the fleet will begin its long journey to Porto. This will be the skippers' last night spent in a dry and warm bed, something they will be longing for at least until next Wednesday, when they are expected to reach the historical town on the Portuguese coast.
